Official tournament rules for all 433 Sports Group Futsal Tournaments

Quick Rules

  • 1 GK + 4 Outfield Players

  • 2 x 22 -minute Halves

  • 1 timeout per half (1 minute, clock stops)

  • 5 fouls = direct kick for each subsequent foul from 2nd PK line

  • Kick-ins, not throw-ins

  • Size 3 ball for U12 and under; Size 4 for U13 and older

  • Substitutions on the fly

  • Jerseys: Home Teams in a light color and Away teams in a dark color

  • Tackles: U12: No slide tackles; U13+: Slide tackles allowed

  • 8 Goal Maximum Goal difference per game

Detailed Tournament Rules

Goalkeeper Rules:

  • Only goal throws, no goal kicks (4-second release); may possess the ball once per possession for 4 seconds

  • After 4 seconds, the whistle blows, an indirect free kick to the other team

  • No 4-second rule applies if the keeper is in the attacking half

  • GK may punt after a save, but not from a goal distribution after the ball has gone behind

  • Defending team players must be out of the arc​

Fouls:

  • 6th foul results in a free kick at the 2nd penalty marker

Substitutions:

  • Allowed on the fly, from the sub zone

 

Kick-ins: (not throw in’s)

  • Must be stationary on the line; 4 seconds to execute

Free Kicks:

  • 4 seconds; defenders must be 5 meters away

Kickoff:

  • Is direct, the defending team must be 3 meters back

 

5th Attacker:

  • Must wear a different color jersey

Players:

  • 4 field players + 1 goalkeeper; proper indoor shoes and shin guards required

Disciplinary Actions:

  • Red card: The team plays a player down for 2 minutes or until a goal is scored

 

Card Usage Guide:

  • Careless: Verbal warning

  • Reckless: Yellow card

  • Excessive Force: Red card

Elimination Game Tie-Breakers

  1. Head to Head

  2. Goal Difference (Max +8 per game)

  3. Goals For

  4. Goals Against

  5. Games Won

  6. Lowest Disciplinary Record

 

*​ If more than 2 teams are tied on all of the above, we repeat the tiebreaker until we are left with 2 teams.

** If all above are tied, a PK shootout between 2 teams will determine the winner. (5 pk takers)
